Consent

No one is obliged to accept a benefit against his consent. Invito beneficium non datur. Dig. 50, 17, 69.

But if he does not dissent he will be considered as assenting. Vide Assent.

Proverbs 1:10 ” My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.” http://www.preparingyou.com/wiki/One_purse

Consent is permission for something to happen or agreement to do something… Participation and acceptance are forms of agreement and produces assent. If you take a benefit from a government that requires consensual membership within society without consent you have committed fraud and/or you are thief. http://www.preparingyou.com/wiki/Consent

The state gets your consent to be the “proper authority” in your life because we or our parents have desired benefits of the state. It is because we desire the benefits of being a member of the State that we go under its authority. This was how the Pharaoh got his authority over Israel. It is how the governments of the world gain more power over you and you forfeit your liberty or access to it.
“The real destroyers of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations, and benefits.” Plutarch
Modern Christians “continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force and violence. The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others…”
There are very few people who can actually claim they have not been partakers of the myriad of benefits offered by the state.
Early Christians did not seek those benefits of the Roman state and were persecuted for it. This why Jesus said not to apply to your Father in Rome but your Father in heaven for your social benefits and grace. In fact he said to call no man on earth Father.
